This 2021 composition by Dominik Schulz and Eli Case recounts the classic story of Rumplestiltskin using Till Eulenspiegel‘s Merry Pranks by Richard Strauss, Romeo and Juliet Overture by Tchaikovsky, as well as Music from the Nutcracker. This story begins when a miller makes an empty promise to the king of the land that his daughter can spin gold out of straw. The daughter's life is then threatened where she must turn all of his straw into gold. She receives help from a little man in exchange for a gift and because of the king's greed, The miller's daughter must then guess his name or else.
